Job Title: Healthcare IT Contract Specialist
Location: Remote (Must Reside in Southeast Michigan)
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Full-Time, 8-Hour Days)
Pay: $30/hour

POSITION SUMMARY:

We’re hiring a Healthcare IT Contract Specialist for a 13-week contract to support critical IT contract activities for a leading healthcare system. In this fully remote role, you’ll work closely with the IT Contracts Manager, legal teams, and business stakeholders to manage, review, and negotiate contracts related to technology services and applications—ensuring compliance, reducing risk, and supporting healthcare delivery.
Ideal candidates will have experience with healthcare contracts, a strong grasp of medical and technical terminology, and 2–3 years of hands-on experience in contract review and negotiation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or Supply Chain Management.
  • 2–3 years of contract experience, including negotiation and review.
  • Prior experience working with healthcare-related contracts (hospital, clinical, or insurance settings).
  • Strong knowledge of medical and technical acronyms.
  • Must be located in Southeast Michigan (occasional onsite meetings required).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of contract management experience.
  • Experience working with IT contracts in a healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage IT contracts using established templates and processes.
  • Track contract deadlines and renewals; ensure timely execution and compliance.
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, and business teams to assess and support contract performance.
  • Ensure consistency with internal policies and industry standards.
  • Provide contract interpretation and risk analysis to internal teams.
  • Maintain and update records of over 700–800 application contracts.
  • Assist with audits and reporting; suggest process improvements when identified.
  • Serve as a resource to junior team members on contract-related matters.
