JOB SUMMARY:

The IT Coordinator acts as the primary bridge between the Office of Information Technology and the University’s end-users, facilitating clear communication and efficient service delivery. This role is responsible for overseeing daily IT operations, ensuring the reliable performance of hardware, software, network infrastructure, and user support services. A key responsibility includes managing the IT HelpDesk to guarantee timely responses and effective resolution of technical issues and service requests. The IT Coordinator also maintains accurate documentation, enforces compliance with IT policies and standards, and supports the continuous improvement of IT processes.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in IT support, HelpDesk management, or related IT operations.
  • Experience with ticketing systems, user support, and IT asset management is desirable.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and office productivity applications.
  • Familiarity with networking basics, software licensing, and IT documentation.
  • Ability to analyze IT performance metrics and suggest improvements.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with end-users and IT teams.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a customer service orientation.
