POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive IT Coordinator to support day-to-day IT operations at H2Safety. This role ensures the availability, reliability, and optimal performance of IT hardware and software systems, including workstations, servers, and networking equipment. The IT Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and performing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and assisting with the implementation of data security protocols. Additionally, this role involves collaborating with IT vendors, supporting system upgrades, and helping to enforce IT policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is a collaborative problem-solver who can effectively support IT initiatives aligned with company objectives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, coordination, or a similar role.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • IT Security & Compliance (e.g., SOC 2): Experience with implementing and maintaining security frameworks.
  • SaaS Application Management & Integration: Comfortable managing cloud-based apps and ensuring seamless system integration.
  • ESRI ARCPro Setup: Able to configure and support geospatial tools in a technical environment.
  • ITIL Framework Knowledge: Understands ITIL principles to drive efficient IT service delivery.
  • Backup & Restore: Skilled in safeguarding data and ensuring reliable recovery across servers, databases, and cloud platforms.
  • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity (DRP/BCP): Able to build and support plans that minimize system downtime.
  • Vendor Management: Strong experience managing vendor relationships, contracts, and service performance.
  • Communication: Clear communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally and explain technical issues to non-technical users.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Virtualization (VMware), storage systems (HPE Alletra SAN, NAS, iSCSI, RAID configurations)
  • Networking (Cisco, Meraki), VPN (IPSec, SSL)
  • Cloud infrastructure management: Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, VDI
  • Backup tools (Datto, Azure Backup)
  • CompTIA Network+/Security+ certifications
  • Oil & Gas or emergency response experience
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to staff, resolving IT-related issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
  • Coordinate and assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT hardware and software systems.
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of data security protocols to protect sensitive information.
  • Assist with data backup processes and disaster recovery procedures, ensuring data integrity and business continuity.
  • Help execute system upgrades and improvements, minimizing disruption to business operations.
  • Coordinate relationships with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
  • Contribute to maintaining IT documentation, including support guides, procedures, and policy documents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align IT activities with company objectives and strategic goals.
  • Identify and recommend new technologies or solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and security.
