We are looking for a driven IT Cyber Security Engineer to join our global Information Technology team, playing a critical role in protecting Clariant's digital assets, systems, and infrastructure from evolving cyber threats. Based in Barcelona, Spain, this operates within a global scope, working closely with Security Operations, Incident Response, and senior leadership teams. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and continuously maintain Clariant's cybersecurity risk management framework and methodology Conduct regular cybersecurity risk assessments to identify and address vulnerabilities across systems, applications, and infrastructure Define and track key risk indicators and metrics to measure and communicate risk exposure effectively Monitor and evaluate emerging IT risks, including cybersecurity threats, compliance issues, and operational risks Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks including ISF SoGP, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF Design and document processes and procedures that strengthen Clariant's security services portfolio Support the design and delivery of security awareness training programs tailored to diverse internal audiences Drive and support phishing simulation campaigns to test and continuously improve employee security awareness Collaborate with the Cyber Security Operations team on ongoing projects and daily operational tasks Proactively research and stay current with the latest cybersecurity technologies, trends, and threat landscapes   Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field Minimum 3–4 years of experience in IT risk management, information security consulting, or a related domain At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Cyber Security Working knowledge of security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST CSF, and ISF SoGP Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent) are a strong advantage Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus) Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, including the ability to engage at senior management level Proactive, curious, and investigative mindset with a continuous improvement approach Ability to navigate conflict constructively and deliver results in a fast-paced global environment Flexibility and a "go the extra mile" attitude when tackling complex security challenges
