The VCAA is a statutory body responsible to the Victorian Minister for Education, serving both government and non-government schools. We provide high quality curriculum, assessment and reporting for all Victorian students birth to 18 years.

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Corporate Services Division in the Information Technology Unit for a fixed term full-time position.

  • Salary: VPS6.2 $162,077 - $185,518 (Plus Superannuation of 11.5%)
  • Fixed term till 31st December 2025
  • Usual hours of work: Full time (flexible work conditions are available)

Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

This role is an opportunity to lead IT initiatives that directly support the development and delivery of the VCE Examinations through project managing the provision of appropriate, user friendly, and secure platforms for data storage and collaboration with a strong focus on cyber security and data protection.
You will work closely with both the IT Branch and the VCE Examinations Unit, leading these initiatives from articulating business requirements, through architecture and implementation, into transition to BaU. While the primary focus of the role will be on the project management aspects of this work; it will also be essential to bring a familiarity with cyber security and data protection as well as a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
The role will be leading the delivery of these IT initiatives and the building of a project team, drawing on existing resourcing, and identifying where additional resources or professional services are required and supporting the procurement of them.
