IT Data Administrator / Systems Administrator
Department: Information Technology Reports to: SVP Technology Employment Type: Full-time Location: Greater Memphis, TN/Remote/Hybrid as applicable

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled IT Data Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role combines traditional systems administration responsibilities with specialized expertise in data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will serve as our primary resource for CPR+/CareTend systems, CareTend BI, and modern data analytics platforms while maintaining critical IT infrastructure in a distributed computing environment.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field preferred
  • Relevant professional certifications preferred (Microsoft, PowerBI, Snowflake, etc.)

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • 2+ years hands-on experience with CPR+/CareTend systems and CareTend BI
  • Advanced SQL skills including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization
  • Proficiency with PowerBI including DAX, data modeling, and dashboard development
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
  • Knowledge of modern IT infrastructure (cloud, virtualization, networking)
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, R, or similar)
  • Experience with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) preferred

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

  • Minimum 3 years combined experience in IT administration and data analytics
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders
  • Project management experience with ability to prioritize multiple initiatives
  • Detail-oriented with commitment to data accuracy and security

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Healthcare IT experience, particularly in clinical systems
  • Experience with additional BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, HITECH)
  • Data analysis certifications (PowerBI, SQL, Snowflake)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at computer workstation
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds for equipment installation
  • Visual acuity for detailed computer work and data analysis
  • Manual dexterity for typing and equipment manipulation

Responsibilities

DATA ANALYTICS & REPORTING (70% OF ROLE)

  • Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards using CPR+/CareTend and CareTend BI platforms
  • Create complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data extraction, transformation, and analysis
  • Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards and visualizations for executive reporting
  • Manage data pipelines and analytics workflows in Snowflake cloud data platform
  • Collaborate with clinical and business teams to translate requirements into actionable data insights
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, etc.)
  • Optimize database performance and troubleshoot data-related issues
  • Create automated reporting solutions and data monitoring alerts
  • Support ad-hoc analysis requests and provide data-driven recommendations

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATION (30% OF ROLE)

  • Maintain and monitor cloud-based and hybrid IT infrastructure
  • Provide Level 3 technical support for end users across distributed teams
  • Manage virtualized environments, containers, and cloud services (Azure)
  • Implement and maintain security protocols, patches, and system updates
  • Support remote work technologies including VPN, collaboration tools, and endpoint management
  • Assist with IT procurement, vendor management, and budget planning
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and backup management
  • Document processes and maintain IT knowledge base
