Description

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Data Center & Cloud Architect to join our team! The IT Data Center & Cloud Architect will design and manage our data center and cloud infrastructure. This role involves strong servant leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on support during operations. You will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure systems that support our manufacturing and business needs. You will also act as a Senior/Lead Datacenter & Cloud Engineer, handling installation, configuration, troubleshooting, optimization, and guiding the team through complex challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· 7+ years in cloud engineering and data center management.
· At least 3 years in architecture or senior engineering role.
· Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Azure preferred.
· Significant hands-on experience with hybrid IT environments, including both on-premises data centers and public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP). Azure preferred.
· Strong knowledge of on-prem data center infrastructure, including servers and storage, networking, wireless, firewalls, security, and virtualization.
· Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Python).
· Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
· Excellent communication skills and ability to co-design and co-manage with Amplify IT teams and third-party vendors and implementation partners.
· Demonstrable collaboration skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
· Ability to prioritize and manage several projects at one time.
· Experience in manufacturing environment a plus.
· Microsoft Azure Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Architect a plus. Azure preferred.
· Additional certifications in security, networking or data center technologies a plus.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $65.00 - $68.00 per hour

Responsibilities

· Proven experience guiding technical team engagements and providing effective servant leadership, collaboration, and teamwork.
· Architect, implement, manage, and maintain enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions across both on-premises and Azure cloud platforms.
· Act as the go-to Senior/Lead Cloud Engineer during operations, resolving issues, optimizing
performance, and ensuring up time.
· Design and manage hybrid cloud solutions, integrating on-premises and cloud environments effectively.
· Implement security protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards across all
environments.
· Strong knowledge of infrastructure security principles, including identity and access management, network segmentation, and cloud security controls.
· Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resources to balance cost efficiency with high
performance.
· Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for cloud and data center operations.
· Lead projects from concept through implementation, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and objectives.
· Maintain up-to-date documentation on architecture, configurations, and processes.
· Provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering skill development and team growth.
· Promote the culture, values, mission and vision of Amplify.
