Description
Role   The IT Data Engineer will report to the Global BI and Datta Leader and will be responsible for building a robust architecture and providing technical expertise of data technologies to the various Data Analysts and to Business Areas and Functions.   Responsibilities * Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and data architecture to support analytics and business intelligence needs. * Drive best practices for data engineering, such as ETL/ELT processes, data quality management, and automation. * Foster data engineering culture within the organization (documentation, knowledge sharing sessions, code review) * Advocate for and lead the adoption of new technologies or methodologies to enhance efficiency and impact (Tech stack modernization) * Keep up to date with the latest trends and developments around the data engineering market (e.g.: attending conferences/seminars) * Document processes, flows, and methodologies to ensure transparency and reproducibility * Provide training and support to teams to enhance data literacy and usage across the organization. * Proactively suggest and drive enhancement and optimization initiatives on Calderys’ Data platform     Requirements * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering or a related field. * 5+ years of functional experience in IT & Data related functions * 5+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects, based on management objectives * 3+ years of practical experience in projects in application interface development and data integration * Extensive experience implementing, migrating, managing data lake/data warehouse implementations (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery…) * Extensive experience in data technologies related to business intelligence, analytics, Extract/Transform/Load (Talend, Alteryx, Informatica, ODI…), API management, enterprise application integration (EAI), predictive analytics, artificial intelligence and master data management. * Experience integrating Business systems. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
