SUMMARY:

The IT - Data & Reporting Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and transforming data into actionable insights that support decision-making across the organization. This role manages data collection processes, builds and maintains reports and dashboards, ensures data integrity, and collaborates with stakeholders to deliver predictive and trend-based analytics to key stakeholders.
This role will also explore the application of AI and machine learning to enhance reporting, automate insights, and enable data-driven forecasting.
Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in data visualization and reporting tools, and the ability to translate complex technical data into clear, meaningful narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Data Management & Advanced Analytics:

  • Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources (including cloud and on-premise databases).
  • Build, maintain, and optimize automated data pipelines for recurring analyses and reporting.
  • Use tools such as Python, SQL, and/or PySpark to perform advanced analysis, including forecasting, trend detection, and statistical modeling.
  • Apply machine learning and AI techniques to support forecasting, anomaly detection, and advanced data modeling.
  • Explore the use of generative AI for automating insight summaries, report narratives, or data categorization.
  • Ensure data integrity through rigorous QC processes.

Reporting & Visualization:

  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Python visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn, etc.).
  • Automate recurring reports to streamline delivery and reduce manual workload.
  • Present analysis results in an actionable, business-focused format.

Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Partner with business units to understand analytical needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Mentor junior analysts and share best practices in data handling and analysis.
  • Work closely with IT teams to integrate new data sources and optimize existing infrastructure.

System Integration & Optimization:

  • Collaborate with technical teams to leverage tools such as Amazon Redshift, AWS S3, and ETL frameworks for scalable solutions.
  • Recommend improvements to data architecture for speed, scalability, and reliability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics or business intelligence roles.
  • Strong Python skills for data analysis and automation.
  • Proficiency with SQL for complex querying and data manipulation.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, data pipeline development, and QC automation.
  • Strong understanding of relational and cloud database structures.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with PySpark, AWS Redshift, and AWS S3.
  • Machine learning model development for forecasting, classification, or NLP.
  • Experience with enterprise systems (e.g., Oracle EBS) and Jira project tracking. Knowledge of data governance best practices.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and AI-based analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) for text data analysis.
