For more information about our school district, visit https://www.vsb.bc.ca/ Responsibilities: In this position, you will: Research and evaluate vendor supplied applications and systems, advises on use and implement and support accordingly Administer audio visual equipment, provide setup and technical support for meetings and events Install and configure computer and mobile devices, Server and directory services, system and application software, network nodes, IP devices, printers, scanners, and other technologies Identify, monitor, administer and problem solve various system, network and operational issues Provide configuration and usage advice, troubleshoot, problem solve and develop documentation to support staff Write, apply and maintain documentation, procedures, scripts, checklists and tutorials in various formats including online recordings and in writing Perform information technology support to the Division Perform other related duties as required Qualifications: Completion of grade 12 plus 2 years’ full time equivalent post-secondary education in an information technology, electronics, electrical, telecommunications or equivalent and relevant diploma(s) discipline. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in information technology.
Experience working in a K-12 education organization. Advanced skill in implementing, problem solving, and supporting audio visual equipment (microphones, speakers, amplifiers, projectors, screens, video cameras, lighting), screen sharing hardware and software (Apple TV, AirTame, Epson, Airplay, Miracast, Google Cast), video conferencing platforms (Teams, Zoom, Webex, and others), Apple and Microsoft computer, mobile, directory, server, network, security, and printing. Experience with networking, security devices, Mac, PC and server support, virtual environments, virus protection, O365, Azure AD, Intune, Jamf, VMware and other various software applications. Excellent customer service and communication (verbal and written) skills and able to establish priorities and meet tight and possibly conflicting deadlines.
Ability to analyze, prepare and distribute information in multiple formats to a diverse audience with a variety of technical experience levels. Must be able to meet the following assessment: Hands-on 1 hour series of tasks/problems (70%+). Willing to work evenings, as required. Must be able to lift/carry/move weights up to 50 lbs.
