Job Title: IT Developer (TMS & WMS Specialist)
Job Summary
The IT Developer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining software applications and systems with a focus on Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and logistics operations. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize processes for warehouses, cold storage, and supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
System Development & Integration
Design and develop custom software solutions tailored to logistics, warehousing, and cold storage operations.
Develop, configure, and integrate TMS and WMS to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to implement third-party logistics systems and APIs.
System Optimization
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Optimize TMS and WMS performance for real-time tracking, inventory management, and temperature-controlled storage environments.
Develop reporting tools and dashboards to provide actionable insights for supply chain and logistics operations.
Technical Support
Provide technical support for TMS, WMS, and other logistics software applications.
Troubleshoot system issues and ensure minimal downtime in logistics and warehouse operations.
Train end-users on system functionalities and new updates.
Data Management & Security
Ensure the integrity, security, and accuracy of data within TMS, WMS, and related systems.
Monitor and maintain databases to support logistics operations and regulatory compliance.
Implement security protocols for data protection in warehousing and cold storage systems.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with logistics teams, warehouse managers, and cold storage staff to identify system requirements.
Partner with IT teams to implement best practices and innovative solutions.
Liaise with external vendors for system upgrades, support, and licensing.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT development, with a focus on TMS, WMS, logistics, and warehouse operations.
Hands-on experience in cold storage systems is highly preferred.
