Description:

TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

The Developer has solid, current, hands-on experience developing in BizTalk and SQL Server (including stored procedures and Transact SQL). The Developer would benefit from experience in NET (C# .Net Framework). Their experience would include development, maintenance and enhancement using these technologies.
The Developer is interested in solving problems of relevance to the business and the strategic technical architecture. They will enjoy working with business and technical analysts to understand current processing, analysing approaches to improving these, and taking these through to completion.
The Developer has experience working in a structured environment, applying project and development methodologies. They have good interpersonal skills, and an ability to build and maintain relationships. They will not be reticent in raising issues or asking colleagues and managers for guidance or help.
The Developer has a proven ability to deliver results in a demanding environment, and is committed to performing their function fully in order to meet deadlines and quality standards. They have a continuous improvement mentality, and the maturity to not be frustrated by an environment that changes rapidly and is constantly growing. Responsibilities:

POSITION PURPOSE

The main purpose of an ‘IT Developer –Transversal’ is:
Responsible for the development and enhancement of applications owned by the Development team.
Contributing technically to Integration Architecture – a strategic platform that acts as an integration broker between systems
Contributing technically to other key technical streams, particularly the DWH Technical stream
Technical support for Multiple vendor applications (including settlement and transaction instruction systems) with interfaces to many in-house systems
Interacting with and supporting colleagues overseas including Chennai
Implementing and contributing to Development team standards, policies & best practices
Display the desire, aptitude and flexibility to adapt to working patterns and organisational structures used by the Development Team and the wider CIB Security Services IT team.
This role will be supported by their technical lead and line manager
Escalate any issues or risks in a timely manner

RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of the role include:
Deliver smart, appropriate solutions that meet or exceed business expectations
Deliver assigned activities and tasks to budget and schedule, and to agreed criteria for success
Ensure that the project methodology is applied in all tasks undertaken
Provide regular and timely updates to relevant roles regarding status
Identify and raise to development manager any risks or issues, and contribute to the development of plans to either avoid or overcome these
Develop and contribute to the development of your own and the team’s skills and capabilities
Contribution to the development and improvement of standards and methodologies
Adherence to security and other global and local standards
Contribution to setting the technical direction for the platform applications
Coding and testing of solutions:
Coding of required changes, respecting development standards
Conducting and participating in peer code reviews
Thorough unit, system and integration testing
Review of systems test plans
Support User Acceptance Testing
Deployment and handover:
Ensure that solutions designed and delivered can be operated and maintained
Prepare solutions for deployment and document the deployment and change process
Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure solutions are deployed to various environments
Participate in the stable transition of deliveries to other teams
Occasionally be available for short term warranty support for key deliverables at crucial go-live milestones. This could happen outside of normal working hours.
