    The Law Society of NSW is Australia’s largest and most influential membership association for solicitors. We’re not all lawyers, but we work together to support the legal profession and ensure a just society for all.
    We are currently looking for an IT Development & Support Analyst to join our IT team.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The IT Development and Support Analyst plays a key role in supporting and enhancing the growing portfolio of digital services across the organisation. A critical focus of this role is to ensure that applications are built with minimal operational outages and with security at the forefront. This position focuses on developing and maintaining front-end and back-end applications using modern frameworks and best-practice coding standards to deliver secure, high-quality, high-performance and resilient solutions.
You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement by keeping applications up to date through bug fixes, enhancements, and support for evolving business requirements. In addition, it provides operational support for existing systems, working closely with the wider IT team to resolve issues and deliver code changes as needed.
You will contribute to technical governance by participating in code reviews, promoting coding and architectural standards, and supporting code management practices to maintain consistency and quality across the development lifecycle.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end applications using Azure services such as Azure App Services and Azure Function Apps.
  • Write clean, secure, and scalable code using C# .NET Core, Vue.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL
  • Build modular, reusable components to support multiple digital products.
  • Apply best practices for application architecture, performance optimisation, and secure coding.
  • Work closely with the Operations Team to investigate and resolve bugs, performance issues, and service requests.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by addressing enhancements and new feature development in Agile sprints.
  • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and regular team ceremonies to maintain focus and momentum.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for applications, APIs, services, configurations, and support processes.
  • Ensure all documentation is current, well-structured, and aligned with internal governance standards.
  • Support the enforcement of coding standards and development frameworks through code reviews and peer collaboration.
  • Work cross-functionally with project managers, business analysts, developers, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Engage in technical design discussions, contribute to architecture decisions, and provide input on feasibility and timelines.
  • Pro-actively engage with various business stakeholders to encourage adoption and automation using the Information Management services
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, business units, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Constantly striving to be more proactive.
  • Polite and professional in all communication to the end users.
  • Work with the business to align IT to meet business goals and strategies.
  • Providing training to staff (both internally and externally) on IT IM Services.
  • Identify ways to improve engagement and ease of use.
