As a DevOps engineer lead in ETS Security, you’ll provide a key role in protecting Progressive’s systems and data. You will have the opportunity to design, deploy, and manage critical security services and tools across diverse environments, including both on-premise and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
This is a remote position for US-based work only.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunication, Math) and minimum of six years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.
  • In lieu of degree, minimum of eight years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.

Preferred skills

  • Container and Cloud Native Security: Proficiency in securing containerized environments across Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker, Podman, AWS ECS, and Azure Containers; experience implementing CWPP, KSPM, and CNAPP solutions for runtime and configuration security.
  • Application Security Testing Integration: Hands-on experience integrating and managing SAST, SCA, DAST, IAST, and secrets detection tools within CI/CD pipelines to support secure development practices.
  • Programming and Scripting: Strong scripting and automation skills using Go, Python, Bash, and PowerShell; familiarity with .NET for extending security tooling and building integration workflows.
  • Web Application Firewall Management: Experience deploying and tuning Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to protect web assets from OWASP Top 10 and advanced threats in hybrid or cloud-native environments.
  • Customer focus: Proven ability to work effectively with internal or external customers, demonstrating a strong customer-focused mindset.

Compensation

  • $129,000-143,000/year
  • Gainshare annual cash incentive payment up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
