Job Title: IT DevOps Engineer
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our IT team. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automation of infrastructure, monitoring systems, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of applications across development and production environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
Manage and automate infrastructure using IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, application logs, and cloud resources.
Implement containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
Collaborate with software development, QA, and IT teams to streamline workflows and improve release management.
Manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), ensuring cost optimization and security compliance.
Ensure application reliability and scalability by implementing observability solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK Stack, etc.).
Perform root cause analysis of production issues and develop preventive measures.
Maintain and improve system security practices including patching, access control, and vulnerability assessments.
Support disaster recovery, backup, and high availability strategies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3–7 years of hands-on DevOps/IT experience.
Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
Experience with monitoring & logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, CloudWatch).
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
Strong understanding of networking, security, and load balancing concepts.
Programming/scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
Knowledge of agile development and DevOps best practices.
Preferred Skills
Experience with microservices architecture.
Familiarity with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
Knowledge of database administration (SQL & NoSQL).
Certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP or DevOps tools.
