JOB SUMMARY:

Under the IT Director’s general direction, the Digital Automation Engineer oversees support, configuration, and maintenance of data analytics processes, machine learning services, and data warehouse integrity.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or a related field or an equivalent mix of training, certification, education, and experience required.
  • Three (3) years of experience in automation, data analytics, or AI/ML development in an enterprise environment is required.
  • Prior experience in a casino IT environment preferred.
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If the company does not provide a smartphone, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company’s choice through a payroll deduction program.
  • All employees must proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key gaming license.
Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

  • Design, develop, and deploy intelligent automation solutions using AI and machine learning.
  • Collaborate with IT Director to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
  • Conduct, plan, coordinate, and implement system maintenance and upgrades.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify opportunities for process optimization.
  • Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes and service records.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines and analytics dashboards for performance monitoring.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software upgrades and repairs.
  • Support development and implementation of automation projects and new technology installations.
  • Routine systems administration and maintenance including user access.
  • Perform system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance in all automation projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
