JOB TITLE: IT DIRECTOR

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The IT Director is a senior leadership role that plays a crucial part in the development and execution of Scipi’s technology vision and strategy in alignment with the overall strategic direction and goals of the organization. This role drives digital transformation and operational excellence across the Scipi Family of Companies, enabling scalability, efficiency, and secure technology solutions aligned with enterprise goals.
This position has a salary range of $115,000 - $140,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
This position is eligible for an annual goals-based bonus.
Resume review will begin ongoing, and the position will remain open until filled.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Admin, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive IT experience with 5 years in a leadership role
  • or an equivalent combination of education and experience such as an Associate’s Degree with 12+ years of IT management experience
  • Experience in developing and executing IT strategy and budgets in a multi-entity or multi-site organization
  • Expertise in IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, and business systems
  • Strong knowledge of risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance frameworks

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Master’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Admin, or related field
  • Familiarity with the needs and structure of employee-owned or mid-sized manufacturing/distribution companies
  • Preferred certifications include: CISSP, CISM, PMP, ITIL 4, AWS or Azure Architect certifications, Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator, Scrum Master (CSM or PSM), TOGAF, or equivalent credentials in cybersecurity, project management, cloud, or enterprise IT governance

Responsibilities
  • IT Leadership & Vision: develop and lead the execution of IT strategies and system initiatives that align with organizational goals, ensuring integrity, efficiency, and scalability of technology infrastructure
  • Lead Enterprise IT Operations: provide strategic leadership and oversight of enterprise-wide IT operations – including infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud platforms, applications, and support – while ensuring regulatory compliance, data governance, and resilient, high-preforming systems aligned with organizational goals
  • Business Enablement: partner with business leaders to identify pain points, recommend innovative technology solutions, and implement tools that increase productivity, collaboration, and competitive advantage
  • Governance & Policy: establish and enforce IT governance frameworks, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency, compliance, and strategic alignment across all Scipi business units
  • Budgeting & ROI: oversee IT budgeting, forecasting, and financial stewardship to ensure appropriate return on technology investment
  • Risk Management & Compliance: oversee cybersecurity and compliance efforts, ensuring systems meet regulatory, audit, and legal standards through robust monitoring, access controls, and incident response protocols
  • Project & Vendor Management: lead end-to-end IT projects – including cloud migrations, ERP enhancements, and infrastructure upgrades – while managing vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective, high-quality service delivery
  • Team Development & Support: lead, mentor, and support the IT team to deliver high-quality service while fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented culture focused on developing future talent
  • Cross-Functional Communication: partner with executive leadership to align IT initiatives with business priorities, translating technical concepts into actionable strategies and providing regular updates on performance, projects, and impact
