Work Location: Concord, CA Employment Details: Full time, Exempt, Onsite, no remote or hybrid Compensation: $145k- 170k/year About the role: We are searching for an IT Director who will be a member of the Leadership Team, this position is responsible for both the day-to-day operations of all IT and Data Analytics deliverables of the agency. Provides progressive and focused information technology vision and leadership to the agency; understands core business requirements and provides day-to-day operational support across multiple locations. This position supervises IT and Data Analytics staff with 3 direct reports and 2 indirect. The role reports to the COO. What you’ll do: Information Technology Design and Administration Plans, manages, evaluates, administers, and coordinates the agency’s strategic and tactical information technology and computer systems plans to support agency growth and long-term business needs. Updates and modifies the information management standards, policies, and guidelines including but not limited to security, asset management, information technology infrastructure, and network operations. Designs and develops strategy that include hardware, software, network data, and other dimensions to cover all aspects of information technology. Develop innovative network troubleshooting methods that reduce downtime and lower repair costs. Oversees management and assignment of all IT assets including computers and phones. Plans and oversees all major system upgrades and software implementations. Manages and oversees computer system support activities. Develops, tests, and maintains disaster recovery plans for IT systems. Prepares all required reports and correspondence. Develops, implements, and monitors department budget; manages expenses. Manage third party vendor relations related to software, servers, network, telecommunications and related systems maintenance. Conforms to organizational policies and procedures and government regulations. Technical Set up employee workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices (scanners, printers, phones etc.) Check computer hardware (HDD, mouses, keyboards etc.) to ensure functionality. Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to specifications. Install well-functioning LAN/WAN and other networks and manage components (servers, IPs etc.) Develop and maintain local networks in ways that optimize performance. Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems. Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment. Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work. Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.) Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule. Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders. Data Analytics Develop and implement comprehensive tools and strategies that allow raw data to be transformed into data insights to be used for decision making and strategic planning across the agency Understand and interpret data compliance requirements across multiple grants, finding optimization opportunities and serving as a knowledge center to the agency Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics. (Includes monthly, quarterly, yearly, ad hoc, audit and RFP requests) Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables. Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions What you’ll bring: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent. 6+ years working in IT as a Technician and as a director. Experience in administering Active Directory, Windows servers and PCs and other Windows administrative functions Knowledge of cloud based SAAS systems, including Office365 Knowledge of advanced principles of information technology architecture, strategic information technology planning, and effective IT security. Experience with administration of financial and other enterprise-wide software highly desireable.
