Responsibilities:
The IT Downtime & Disaster Recovery Specialist is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing downtime procedures and disaster recovery (DR) plans to ensure business continuity during planned and unplanned system outages. This role ensures that critical IT systems, applications, and data remain secure and recoverable while minimizing operational disruption in healthcare, business, or enterprise environments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or systems administration.
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning, downtime management or business continuity processes.
  • Preferred experience in healthcare, finance, or other regulated industries with strict uptime requirements
  • Familiarity with virtualization, backup/recovery systems, security frameworks, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to stay calm in high-pressure outage scenarios.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on user training and procedural documentation.
  • Preferred knowledge of EHR downtime workflows
  • Preferred EPIC BCA experience

Min: USD $40.24/Hr. Max: USD $72.43/Hr
