JOB SUMMARY

The IT Endpoint Operations Manager is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, and management of endpoint computing systems across the organization. This includes overseeing the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle management of end-user devices (desktops, laptops, mobile devices), ensuring endpoint security, patch management, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings a strategic mindset, strong technical expertise, and proven leadership skills to manage a global or regional team of IT professionals and support staff.

JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing endpoint operations or end-user support teams.
  • Hands-on experience with modern endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM, JAMF, Workspace ONE, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of Windows, macOS, and mobile operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint security practices, patch management, and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, ITIL Foundation, JAMF certifications).
  • Experience in a hybrid or cloud-first environment with Microsoft 365 and Azure AD integration.
  • Experience managing a distributed team across multiple locations or time zones.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Endpoint Operations team to ensure consistent service delivery across all user devices and platforms.
  • Oversee endpoint management tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune, SCCM, JAMF, etc.) and ensure policies are enforced across all devices.
  • Develop and implement endpoint lifecycle strategies including provisioning, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning.
  • Ensure endpoint compliance with security policies, including antivirus/malware protection, encryption, and OS patching.
  • Collaborate with IT Security to respond to vulnerabilities and security incidents affecting endpoint devices.
  • Optimize software deployment and license management processes.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs/SLAs for endpoint performance, availability, and incident response.
  • Drive standardization across endpoint hardware and software platforms to reduce complexity and improve supportability.
  • Serve as escalation point for high-impact endpoint-related incidents and problems.
  • Manage vendor relationships and procurement of endpoint-related products and services.
  • Support IT asset management initiatives to ensure accurate inventory of endpoint devices.
  • Stay up to date with emerging endpoint technologies and recommend improvements.
