JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled IT Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network installation and management, with expertise in various operating systems including Linux and UNIX. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment. The IT Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience with Linux/UNIX operating systems; familiarity with Debian is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies and network installation processes.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python for automation tasks.
  • Understanding of ITIL framework and best practices for IT service management.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Pensacola, FL 3250

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) using MPLS technology.
  • Perform installations, configurations, and troubleshooting of network equipment and systems.
  • Develop scripts using Python for automation of routine tasks and system monitoring.
  • Maintain server environments running on Debian and other Linux distributions.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with ITIL best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Provide support for network-related incidents, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and changes for future reference.
