WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • A working knowledge of multiple operating systems (MacOS, Windows, iOS or Android) and latest hardware including corporate printing solutions.
  • An understanding of corporate software (Slack, Google Workspace, Azure, Atlassian, Snipe-IT, Intune, Jamf, SureMDM)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate tech talk for any user
  • You are able to identify relevant information from a variety of sources and actively share them with your team and others. You contribute to streamline processes and tasks between your team and relevant groups.
  • A quantitative and analytical mindset and know how to use data as the basis of your decisions.
  • A positive proactive approach to tackling any issues without shying away from the challenges that arise
  • The ability to travel to scheduled visits to other sites across the Nordics and if needed Europe to work with other members of the team and provide support to the business if required.
  • Experience with LAN, WAN and WLAN infrastructures
  • Knowledge of FortiGate Firewalls, Cisco switches and Cisco Wireless
  • A valid EU / UK driver’s license

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

For our ambitious and growing team in Derby, we are looking for an IT Engineer, working in the IT team you will take a leading role in delivering world class support to all team members in the Nordics across a range of hardware and software.
You will bring a positive, can do attitude and creative mindset to solving technical issues across our distribution centres. After understanding the fast paced IT landscape you will grow to use your unique perspective and skills to solve any support requests that come through. Over time you will balance this work with the projects you think will impact the business and travel regularly to our sites across the UK to deliver a best in class service.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Be the first point of contact for any support needs that arise including onboarding/offboarding, access requests & troubleshooting
  • You will manage our Workplace and Warehouse Technologies and implement best practices, improving processes, and defining new service standards to deliver exceptional support.
  • Learn key IT principles alongside analytical skills used to build the ideal IT landscape
  • Define and complete technical projects that will have a lasting impact on the company
  • Gain a working knowledge of a range of platforms including Google Workplace, Azure, the Atlassian Suit and many more
  • You’ll proactively improve and automate processes, ensuring knowledge sharing and team efficiency by documenting all changes and new procedures
