Communications/Technology Systems Technician
WA Communications has been operating since 1980 and has become the leading Southwest Region (Australia) supplier of radio communication systems, wireless and fixed networks.
WA Communications is seeking a engineer or technician with experience with RF and IT capabilities.
.
· Full time role – 39.6 hours
· Competitive rates.

This position is a permanent role at our Bunbury office with on site work as required. We offer a four-day working week for a great work life balance.

REQUIREMENTS

· Professional technology or radio degrees and or Trade qualifications in Radio Communications, Electronics, Electrical with a knowledge of technology solutions.
· Motorola and Cambium product knowledge is desirable.
· Current C Class manual license.
· Must be able to work autonomously and within a small team.
· Be self-motivated.
· Be able to pass drug and alcohol tests.
· Minimum requirements would be at least 2 years experience in radio technology systems or relevant associated professions

Responsibilities

The role involves design and integration of radio and technology together with routine maintenance and breakdown repairs of mining systems equipment in heavy mining fleet and LV’s as well as fixed infrastructure. The systems include P25 and DMR radio solutions, CAS, LTE, GPS, PTP and PMPT microwave links. Motorola and Cambium products
The role will play an integral part in our mining projects teams servicing high profile mining clients across Western Australia. This role is responsible for carrying out a variety of mining systems technology installations, site repairs, mobile asset scoping / design.
The successful candidates will be offered a competitive rate of pay commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications and will have the support of a proactive management team and experienced technical staff.
