SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience, ideally in an IT environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Implementation role or similar
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory / Windows Server / Microsoft Exchange / Virtualisation / Cloud Environments
  • Networking knowledge with multiple technologies
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Implementation Engineer you will be responsible for providing post sale implementation, on-site support for IT, data, hosting and telecoms networks.
This will include implementing on-site new installation works, scheduled onsite visits to provide a proactive approach to our service delivery programme and on-site break fix works when required.
As and when required, you will work closely with the Project Engineers and senior technical staff to ensure all projects are delivered efficiently to the customer’s satisfaction.
Please note that a full UK driver’s license and flexibility for some overnight stays are essential for this position.

THE KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS:

  • Assist to plan, install, and close out new implementations in line with budget and to the customers’ satisfaction.
  • Set up and maintain the customer documentation for each client to ensure knowledge is shared across the business.
  • Work with all areas of the business to deliver a successful project as and when required.
  • Provide end user, post implementation training where required.
  • Strive to achieve first time fix for on-site, break fix works.
  • Ticket ownership end-to-end throughout its life cycle
  • Provide recommendations for network/system improvements to the Account Manager
  • Proactively identify issues before they arise as well as identifying any recurring tickets (i.e.) problems.
  • Aid in the creation and management of a technical Knowledgebase
  • Work to the agreed KPI’s set (individually/team) Deal with other issues or requests required by the business
