Description
As the IT Field Services Specialist 1, you will assist in the development and maintenance of in-house computer software systems and network connections. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all network software and communication links. Use knowledge of the Local Area Network (LAN)/ Wide Area Network (WAN) systems to help install and maintain internal and external networks. Troubleshoot and resolve end user software program and connectivity issues in a timely and accurate manner, and provide end user training where required. Create and update documentation of system changes, updates, and design. Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Assist with system backups and schedules. Assist with operating system software improvements and upgrades. Assess need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them if required with supervision. Assist in the management of communications and connection solutions, including local area networks, Company website, intranet, and Internet applications. Assist in the maintenance, administration, and troubleshooting of firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, and other security related services. Assist with equipment warranty, returns, and repairs. Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information. Assist with firmware/software improvements and upgrades. Interact with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to support software products and services. Communicate and work with external vendors for product and service research and support. Provide on-call technical support. Seeking candidates with at least 1 year of related experience, including hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting. A High School Diploma or GED is required, and an Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience is also required. We prefer for candidates to have 2 years of relevant experience, previous experience with Jira or other Service Management Software, and previous experience with an Asset Management tool.
