Description

We are hiring an experienced IT Field Support Technician for a long-term contract in Toledo, OH. This position provides on-site support in an automotive manufacturing environment, ensuring reliable operation of hardware, software, and IT systems. The ideal candidate has Service Desk or Field Support experience and a strong background in troubleshooting and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site IT support including installation, servicing, and repair of systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hardware, software, networks, and peripherals.
  • Perform system upgrades, preventative maintenance, and end-user support.
  • Manage and document support requests in a ticketing system (ServiceNow preferred).
  • Assist with complex installations and maintenance projects.
  • Train end users on the operation and maintenance of IT equipment.
  • Support plant operations with flexibility for standing, walking, and shift work.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1–2 years of IT Field Support, Desktop Support, or Service Desk experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and core Microsoft applications.
  • Hands-on experience with PC hardware, software, and office equipment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ServiceNow or other IT ticketing systems.
  • Previous IT support experience in manufacturing or automotive industries.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Automotive plant and office setting.
  • Shift work including afternoons and midnights.
  • Weekend, holiday, and overtime work required as needed.
