ABOUT US
Hyne Group is a collective of industry-leading businesses operating across Australia and New Zealand, with a history spanning over 140 years. From its beginnings as a sawmill on the Mary River, Hyne Group has grown into a pioneer of sustainable timber product manufacturing. The Hyne Group is supported by its partnership with global timber processors, James Jones & Sons, bringing together a combined 320 years of family-owned sawmilling heritage.
The Group, which includes Hyne Timber, XLam, Rocky Point, and Hyne Pallets, serves key sectors such as construction, garden care, horticulture and logistics. Through innovative processes and sustainable practices, the Hyne Group transforms each log into high-quality products that meet the diverse needs of our customers. This holistic approach reflects a dedication to environmental stewardship and industry-leading innovation, ensuring that every centimetre of each log turns into an opportunity for excellence.
YOUR NEXT ROLE
We are looking for a practical, people-focused IT Field Technician to join our team. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will support office and manufacturing teams across Australia and New Zealand, helping keep our technology running smoothly.
You will provide hands-on and remote IT support, set up and maintain devices, and help troubleshoot issues. This role offers variety, autonomy, and connection—whether on-site or assisting users remotely.
This role will suit someone who enjoys helping people and solving problems and who thrives in both office and manufacturing environments. Adaptability, clear communication, and a calm, practical approach are key. As a physically present, office-based position, it also offers the opportunity to work from other sites across our business—including Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, and Perth. Travel is required approximately once per month for short visits, working closely with a supportive IT team.
