QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Must have a minimum or 2-5 years or combination of education and experience in IT roles such as helpdesk and field support, installation, termination, and testing of network cabling.
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent certificate.
  • Proven experience as an IT Field Technician or similar role.
  • Technical proficiency in computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and asset management tools.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of premise wiring/cabling best practices and network connectivity.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and provide hardware/software support for staff computer systems and related equipment.
  • Install and configure new IT hardware, including responding to break-fix requests and deploying new hardware at various facilities.
  • Decommission and remove retired IT assets, ensuring proper disposal or recycling practices.
  • Maintain accurate IT inventory and tracking using asset management systems.
  • Document, track, and monitor issues and tasks using the IT ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors to address technical needs such as cabling, network connectivity, VoIP, and printer services.
  • Troubleshoot computer workstation hardware and peripherals as needed.
  • Install and modify software, and replace hardware components to resolve incidents.
  • Resolve desktop and network issues promptly to restore service for users.
  • Demonstrate technical understanding of software applications and operating systems.
  • Ensure adherence to premise wiring/cabling best practices.
  • Update knowledge base with documentation describing encountered issues, resolutions, and develop processes to enhance service desk efficiency.
  • Communicate with vendors for warranty claims and troubleshooting.
  • Perform virus/malware removal tasks to maintain system security.
