(Part-time) IT Field Technician
SCALESOFT Solutions Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-time IT Field Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who is passionate about providing exceptional on-site and remote technical support to our diverse client base in the Edmonton area.
Schedule:

This part-time position requires a total of 16 hours per week, with the following fixed, but can be flexible, schedule:

  • Monday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Thursday: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Proven experience working with and troubleshooting Windows Server and Active Directory environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to configure and troubleshoot monitors, network equipment, and other IT hardware.
  • Strong helpdesk support skills with the ability to effectively communicate and assist clients over the phone.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for travel to client sites within Edmonton.

Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site technical support to clients within Edmonton for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Act as a primary helpdesk contact, offering remote support and resolving technical issues for clients over the phone.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to Windows Server and Active Directory, including user account management and group policy.
  • Configure, install, and troubleshoot monitors and other peripheral devices.
  • Diagnose and repair network connectivity issues for both wired and wireless setups.
  • Document all support activities, resolutions, and system configurations for accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with the internal team to escalate and resolve complex technical challenges.
