Overview ABOUT THE POSITION Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual looking for a flexible role in finance and accounting? VHB is currently seeking an IT Financial Assistant to join our team. As a member of our IT department, you will be providing crucial support in accounts payable, purchase orders, reconciliation, contract tracking, and business planning/reporting for our technology-related spend. This position would be out of one of VHB’s New England offices, preferably Watertown, MA or Bedford, NH and would have the option to work from home if needed for up to 50% of the time. Responsibilities Assist in managing accounts payable and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded. Process purchase orders and invoices in a timely and efficient manner. Perform regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy. Assist in hardware and software invoicing reconciliation with outside vendors Track and manage contracts, ensuring all details are up-to-date. Collaborate with the IT department to streamline financial processes and procedures. Work with IT Leadership to assist with business planning, plan updates, and reporting on various operational expenses for the team. Perform other related duties as assigned. Skills Proven experience in a similar role. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is a must. Willingness and ability to learn new technical platforms Experience with Microsoft Power BI or other data dashboard tools is a plus Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Minimum Qualifications 0-4+ years of related accounting and/or finance experience Associate's degree in accounting, finance or related field Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred Proficiency in accounting software Vantagepoint and Microsoft Office Suite. Our best estimate of the salary range for this position in Watertown, MA is $25-36.50/hr. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
