Position Overview:
The IT Gaming Coordinator is responsible for quality assurance testing, troubleshooting with users and vendors, and other operational aspects of the Lottery’s gaming systems.

Experience:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information systems, or related field is required.
  • Sufficient work experience related to information technology is also necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Technical and professional knowledge of information systems, computer and network hardware, and software.
  • Must have the ability to analyze and document complex business processes.
  • Must possess highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Must have the judgment and decision-making capabilities to work independently without constant direct supervision from management.
  • Must possess and practice traits and qualities that foster and maintain cordial and professional working relationships, thereby promoting cooperative efforts toward individual and organizational goals

Responsibilities

System Support: Time: 40% Frequency: Daily

  • Creates support tickets on behalf of users, including thorough documentation of the issue and/or change request.
  • Provides technical guidance, software support, and hardware support to users.
  • Demonstrates reports and other system functionality to users as needed.
  • Analyzes reported incidents and prepares reports for management.
  • Communicates with users and vendors as necessary to ensure problem understanding and resolution.

Quality Assurance: Time: 40% Frequency: Daily

  • Performs quality assurance testing for software and hardware on multiple platforms and devices.
  • Follows test plans and creates test plans as requested.
  • Monitors system performance and alerts appropriate individuals about concerns when needed.
  • Works with users to test the functionality of the gaming systems as needed.

IT Support: Time: 40% Frequency: As Needed

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs and develop solutions.
  • Performs draw operations for nightly draws as scheduled.
  • Assists IT division directors with projects that may include, but not be limited to, desktop support, network troubleshooting, and documentation.

Other Duties as Assigned Time: 5% Frequency: As Needed

  • Document processes, procedures, and system configurations for reference.
