PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE:
To be the pro-active interface between IT organizations and business process owners, to drive system and process improvements, to capture requirements and to manage changes.
The IT EMEA GBS Supervisor is needed to manage the IT GBS EMEA project portfolio within approved budgets/ timelines and is responsible for delivery of those projects. Additionally, the IT EMEA GBS Supervisor’s responsibilities is to manage GBS resources under her/his responsibility and ensure PLMC guidelines are strictly followed within her/his portfolio.
IT EMEA GBS Supervisor monitors projects progress and communicates to project team members and stakeholders.
Expected outcome:
1. Close follow-up of IT GBS EMEA team day to day activities.
2. Continuous monitoring of support requirements through communication with plants/IT GBS Team
3. Direct project management when required
4. Resource management & Planning within IT GBS EMEA organization.
5. Continuous self-development of business process/systems knowledge
6. Initiation of escalations as required based on criticality of issues - within projects or through P2 SRs.
7. Responsible for all administrative/HR topics of staff under her/his responsibility.
8. Responsible for providing regular & documented performance assessment for staff under her/his responsibility.
MAIN DUTIES:
Manage IT projects & resources within the IT GBS EMEA Portfolio: Overall Responsible person for the delivery of the projects and within SANM PMLC guidelines and best practices.
Oracle and Manufacturing Systems knowledge: IT EMEA GBS Supervisor will continuously develop his/her knowledge of SANM Corporate systems in order to be able to manage changes around those.
Business process knowledge: IT EMEA GBS Supervisor will need to continuously develop his business process knowledge and will be asked to do Business Analyst/Project manager activities for some projects/as required.
Business System knowledge: The IT EMEA GBS Supervisor will need to keep increasing his knowledge about business systems used in the company and will try as much as possible to stay informed about all business processes changes decided within the company and new technologies used in SANM.
Teamwork: The IT EMEA GBS Supervisor is expected to lead team members both internally and when liaising with colleagues in other plants/regions. It may also be required to liaise closely with customers to communicate about SANM’s systems capability or if required discuss the integration of customers systems with SANM’s.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a senior member of the EMEA IT GBS team, the IT EMEA GBS Supervisor will, in agreement with the EMEA IT GBS director, drive changes, as and when required - within the IT GBS EMEA IT organization, lead workshops on improvements, take ownership of business/operations communication and coordination of efforts to deliver expected results and/or resolve issues.
Measurements: The IT EMEA GBS Supervisor will be measured on the following categories:
IT GBS EMEA Project portfolio performances (Delivery on time/Budget)
Resource planning & development (via Planview & skills matrix)
Project documentation quality
Project communication, Escalations management, Business Engagement.
Corporate Business system knowledge
Continuous Improvement: The IT EMEA GBS Supervisor will be responsible for follow-up on SANM Project Management guidelines & best practices changes for continuous improvement.
Others:
The IT EMEA GBS Supervisor is expected to be a self-motivated individual, with demonstrated capabilities to work under pressure, during long/odd hours and within multiple time zones as and when the situation requires.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
The IT EMEA GBS Supervisor is responsible for continuous performance evaluation of staff under her/his responsibility and provides recommendations to IT GBS EMEA management. Additionally she/he is required to drive yearly appraisals for staff under her/his responsibility.
