Job Description: IT Generalist
Tungsten Parts Wyoming, located in Laramie, Wyoming is seeking an IT Generalist to support our internal technology needs. While our core infrastructure is managed by an external IT Managed Service Provider (MSP), this role is essential for coordinating day-to-day IT operations, supporting end users, and ensuring smooth communication between our team and the MSP.
Key Responsibilities
· - Serve as the primary internal point of contact for IT-related issues and requests.
· - Coordinate with the external IT Managed Service Provider to ensure timely resolution of technical problems.
· - Provide hands-on support for desktop systems, printers, and other office technology.
· - Maintain inventory of IT assets including computers, peripherals, and software licenses.
· - Assist with onboarding and offboarding of employees including account setup and hardware provisioning.
· - Document internal IT procedures and maintain user guides for common tasks.
· - Support basic network troubleshooting and escalate complex issues to the MSP.
· - Ensure compliance with company IT policies and assist with periodic audits.
· - Other Management Reporting, Data Gathering and Analysis projects as necessary.
Qualifications
· - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
· - 1-3 years of experience in an IT support or generalist role.
· - Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Smartsheet, etc.), and basic networking concepts.
· - Strong organizational and communication skills.
· - Ability to work independently, be proactive and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Skills
· - Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
· - Knowledge of QuickBooks systems and production software.
· - Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
· - Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
