Job Summary:
The IT Hardware and Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining computer hardware and systems. This role involves working closely with software engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software systems, troubleshooting hardware issues, and staying updated on technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Design and develop computer hardware components such as processors, circuit boards, memory devices, and networks.
  • Testing and Analysis: Test hardware components, analyze results, and modify designs as needed to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • System Integration: Work with software engineers to coordinate hardware and software systems, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Documentation: Write detailed specifications and design documentation for hardware components.
  • Manufacturing Oversight: Oversee the manufacturing process for computer hardware, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Technological Updates: Stay current on industry trends and technological advancements to ensure hardware remains competitive and up-to-date.

Desired Skills:

  • Security Protocols: Understanding of hardware security protocols and techniques to protect systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
  • Ability to perform simulations and develop algorithms for sensor signal processing.

Additional information
This is an office based role. Standard Working hours 08:30-17:00, Monday to Friday with flexitime available.
