Description
Description Great systems have the power to empower ideas and connect people. At Baskervill, we take that seriously—and we have a lot of fun doing it. Baskervill is an award-winning, multidisciplinary design firm with nearly 130 years of experience shaping influential spaces across the world. Our IT team (lovingly called the pIT Crew) plays a critical role in keeping people connected, productive, and supported across our six global offices—and we’re looking for a Richmond-based IT Help Desk Coordinator who takes pride in making things work (and fixing them when they don’t). What you’ll be doing: No two weeks are exactly the same, but you can count on a few constants. Including: Helping teammates navigate and resolve questions with company-supported hardware, software, and applications, using documented procedures and the support of the broader IT team. Helping prepare reports that give insight into help desk activity and opportunities for improvement. Setting up new employee workstations, including hardware, operating systems, software, and cabling. Tracking issues through resolution and keeping help desk documentation accurate and up to date. Supporting IT asset inventory, training materials, and vendor coordination. About you: You’re someone who: Enjoys helping people and takes satisfaction in creative problem solving. Has a high school diploma or GED (required). An associate’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field is a plus. Has 0–1 year of experience in corporate IT or a service desk environment. Is familiar with issue-tracking systems and IT support workflows. Holds certifications like CompTIA A+ or Network+, preferably. Is organized, communicative, and eager to learn. Why Baskervill? People come to Baskervill because the work matters, they stay because the people matter. That’s why our benefits are designed to support real life, not just work life. That includes: Medical and dental coverage with 100% of employee premiums funded Paid parental leave A 401(k) with employer match Short- and long-term disability coverage Paid personal time, paid holidays, and a floating holiday Flex spending account Competitive salary commensurate with experience and skills We’re also deeply invested in community impact. Through our 5% Ask initiative, Baskervill employees collectively contribute an average of 1,000 volunteer hours each year, working with local nonprofit organizations. But don’t just take our word for it—our culture of care and opportunity has earned us repeated ‘Best Places to Work’ recognition from Virginia Business and Orlando Business Journal. Still there? If you’re still reading, you might be exactly what we’re looking for. Even if you don’t tick every box above, we hope you’ll reach out—your perspective could be the one that makes our team stronger. Baskervill is an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace, and we consider all qualified candidates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status. We’re also committed to providing reasonable accommodations when requested by a qualified applicant or candidate with a disability, unless such accommodation would cause undue hardship. If you are disabled or otherwise unable to apply online, please mail to: Job#IT2-26 Baskervill, PO Box 400, Richmond VA 23218.
