Position Summary: Responsible for setup, deployment and support of end user computer systems and peripherals. Researches, defines, implements and maintains deployment and maintenance strategies. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, troubleshoots, and also supports end users in a Tier 1 Help Desk capacity. Assists the IT team on various other efforts, related systems, and software. Duties and Responsibilities: This list is not comprehensive but meant to represent the most common or important duties of the position. Other duties are required and/or assigned. Windows operating systems. Understand processes, security, local accounts vs. domain accounts, profiles, services, etc. Experience with Desktop repair/installation, knowledge of main internal components of a system, replacement of these parts; ability to install software, operating systems, drivers, etc. Basic Networking (IP/Ethernet) Research and manage peripherals, adapters, other tools, and software as requested Malware management, removal, prevention, anti-virus Research new software or other data as needed by projects Research/obtain quotes for PCs, hardware, misc. as needed by I.T. Supporting end-users Printer support MS Office suite Maintain organization of storage room Maintain internal IT documentation Able to work in a fast paced company with strict deadlines Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: None Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Basic understanding of servers and networks Working towards degree in Information Technology Interested in pursuing a career in a corporate IT support environment Ability to work independently and complete projects in a timely manner Strong technical writing skills Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, vendors, non-engineers and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Physical: Must be able to use computer equipment, exerting up to 25 lbs of force occasionally and or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects, kneel, reach, push, pull and lift for sustained periods of time. Must be able to stand, walk sit and type of long periods of time. Exposure to moderate noise level. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Knowledge of IT, modern business communication, office procedures and methods. Skill to troubleshoot laptops, personal computers and various software packages such as Microsoft Office Suite. Must be able to work with other departments and AMT employees. Must also be able to work with clients, vendors and 3rd party suppliers. Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork.
