SUMMARY:

An international IT service and solutions provider serving the automotive industry is looking for a motivated and skilled IT Help Desk.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The IT Help Desk is responsible for addressing customer inquiries, managing account registrations, and troubleshooting application-related issues. Additionally, they will develop detailed documentation, including technical guides and customer manuals. Strong customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to analyze systems and customer requirements to craft business solutions and recommend efficiency improvements. The engineer reports directly to the Assistant Manager. Flex time, overtime, and occasional weekend work may be required based on business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
  • Prior experience troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including, Word, Excel Power Point, and Outlook.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Fluency in both Japanese and English.
  • Knowledge of automotive R&D processes.
  • Hands-on experience in IT networking and scripting.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud-based solutions

    - Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified are a plus.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT-related inquires and technical support.
  • Manage and maintain organized records of inquiries in the ticketing system.
  • Provide technical support for application-related issues, troubleshooting and diagnosing causes to offer solutions.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate team or resource.
  • Follow up on customer interactions and document inquiries, comments, and complaints.
  • Record details of actions taken to resolve issues.
  • Prepare and distribute customer activity reports.
  • Assess and provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.
  • Translate system and application documentation between English and Japanese.
  • Collaborate with team members to support customers effectively.
  • Perform tasks requiring intermittent sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds, along with close and distance vision capabilities.
