A leading provider of diagnostic imaging services, Insight Medical Imaging connects in a meaningful way with our patients, physicians, and employees.  With over 650 employees and 17 locations, Insight provides services in Edmonton and surrounding regions, as well as in Fort McMurray.     Insight is currently seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician to join the dynamic and expanding team at our Head Office. This is a full time, permanent position, working 40 hours a week. Insight offers: * Recruitment Bonus * Paid Vacation and Flex Days * RRSP Matching * Educational Allowance * Employer Paid Benefits * Healthcare Spending Account   Duties and Responsibilities * Respond to notifications from monitoring systems by identifying the degree of urgency for each to determine the order in which they will be handled. * Monitor systems in accordance with established policies and procedures. * Troubleshoot technical issues, aiming for first-call resolution whenever possible, with a defined escalation path for more complex problems. * Identify recurring issues and proactively recommend or implement solutions. * Manage user and hardware lifecycle tasks, including Moves, Adds, and Changes. * Develop and maintain clear documentation and user guides, including the creation of instructional videos. * Oversee IT asset procurement and maintain accurate inventory records. * Provide support for industry-specific and custom-built applications. * Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within RIS/PACS systems at all times. * Assist both internal and external clients with technology-related concerns in a courteous and effective manner. * Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (typically one week rotation). Skills  * Strong intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows desktop environments. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on professionalism and user support. * Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently. Committed to maintaining data privacy and system security while performing all responsibilities. * Capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs. Qualifications * Technical training, certifications, or a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. * Working knowledge of networking technologies such as DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs. * Familiarity with PACS and/or RIS (Radiology Information Systems) is considered an asset. * Preferred experience with a variety of systems and tools, including scripting, Office 365, application interfaces, virtual fax, VoIP PBX systems, Palo Alto/HP/Cisco networks, encryption technologies, Linux operating systems, Microsoft SQL, virtual machines (VMs), and mobile device management (MDM). * Willingness and ability to perform after-hours work as needed, both scheduled and unscheduled. * Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license.   Insight Medical Imaging is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing and maintaining a fair, equitable, and diverse workforce.  All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.   We thank all applicants for their interest.
