Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

The IT Help Desk Engineer technician will work with staff and contractors remotely and in person, guiding them through systems configuration and troubleshooting, while aiming to resolve issues with efficiency. Standout candidates will be excellent problem-solvers with outstanding communication and customer service skills.
Please note: This is a hybrid position based in our Chicago office, and candidates must reside in the Chicago area to be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support to end user desktop/laptop systems for software and hardware
  • Provisioning users in Microsoft 365
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, software, printers and other peripherals.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, testing, and repair of computer hardware.
  • Evaluate system configurations and software to ensure effective use of hardware resources.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize outstanding issues.
  • Assist in researching, developing and deploying appropriate Information Technology solutions.
  • Recommend modifications of IT systems in order to improve and simplify business systems and reduce operating cost.
  • Establish and develop procedures for proper utilization of IT technology Qualifications

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with end users to continually reassess and support their position in the technology lifecycle.
