Responsibilities

We now have an opportunity for an experienced Helpdesk Analyst to manage IT for our starters, leavers and moves, and to provide 1st and 2nd line support to Diamond staff.

Responsibilities will include:

  • IT provision for starters, leavers and office moves tasks:
  • Setup starters - account, permissions, and equipment.
  • Action leavers - disable and remove permissions.
  • Action IT for office moves.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support to Diamond staff and users for all systems in use including hardware and software.
  • Resolve, record, and track user calls to completion, keeping the user informed of progress, on many occasions dealing with complex IT issues covering hardware and software which crosses the boundaries of Science, Technical and corporate IT systems.
  • Ensure and monitor user adherence to IT Security policy in force including Anti-Virus software, IT security and governance.
  • Work with other Diamond IT groups to analyse and fix user issues, often liaising and co-ordinating with internal and external systems providers.
