WHAT YOU`LL DO

Summary:
We are seeking a technically skilled and experienced Enterprise Cloud Architect with expertise in SAP system architecture and public cloud technologies. In this role, you will support regional sales teams and regional Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) teams with architectural and solution expertise both during pre-sales and post-sales phases. You will serve as an interface between customers, pre-sales teams, and the global architecture team. This position offers the opportunity to significantly shape and contribute to the overall Enterprise Cloud Services strategy.
The Role:
Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) at SAP manages the Private Managed Cloud business, primarily supporting customers’ business transformation through the RISE with SAP offering. In response to customer demand and the significant growth of the Private Cloud business at SAP, ECS is introducing a regional structure. Within these regional ECS teams, the Regional Architecture Expert role is key.
As a Regional Architecture Senior Specialist/Expert (f/m/d) for ECS Services, you will be the main regional contact for inquiries related to ECS architecture, roadmap, and platform strategy. Strong knowledge of SAP system architecture and public cloud technologies, with a focus on infrastructure, is essential for this role.
You will be involved in customer deal cycles and support pre-sales with your strong knowledge of public cloud infrastructure and SAP system architecture. Acting as a liaison between pre-sales and the global architecture team, you will have the opportunity to influence the technical roadmap and contribute to the overall Enterprise Cloud Services strategy. You will convey our knowledge and standards to the region and bring customer requirements back to the ECS organization.
Additionally, you will support ECS Delivery and ECS Customer Delivery Engagement in critical customer situations and projects.
This role provides the chance to work on some of the largest enterprise clouds globally, with exposure to major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will have the opportunity to further develop SAP’s flagship offering, RISE with SAP, and work with the newest technologies including AI.

To excel in this role, high proficiency in customer communications and presentations is required. Additionally, the following skills are essential:

• High proficiency in the SAP product portfolio, offerings, and industry solutions.
• Proficiency in creating technical architecture and infrastructure designs for SAP solutions/SAP system architectures.
• Excellent understanding of the capabilities of at least one hyperscaler (AWS, MS Azure or GCP).
• Good understanding of operational aspects (application or technical) of SAP solutions in a cloud environment is beneficial.
