Description

Your mission

Design infrastructures holistically. You develop technical concepts for network, firewall, WLAN and data center environments and ensure that viable solutions result from them.
You provide technical consulting to clients. You conduct workshops to gather requirements, analyze existing environments, and derive suitable target architectures and implementation steps.
You will support complex implementations. You will either implement demanding installations in core, network, firewall and WLAN environments yourself or provide expert guidance.
Empower colleagues on site. You train technicians and project colleagues in switch, access point, firewall or infrastructure installations and ensure a clean technical implementation.
Optimize Wi-Fi and network environments. You analyze the performance, coverage, stability, and security of existing infrastructures and develop concrete improvement measures.
Provide technical support for pre-sales. You will assist in assessing costs, risks, and technical solutions for offers, tenders, and customer inquiries.
Take on technical responsibility. You identify dependencies, risks and stumbling blocks early on and actively contribute solutions.
Ensure documentation and handover. You create technical concepts, network diagrams, operational documentation, and handover documents for customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Your skillset

You have completed vocational training or a degree as an IT systems electronics technician, IT specialist, computer scientist or similar.
You have extensive experience in IT infrastructures. Ideally, you have already worked as a senior network administrator, network consultant, infrastructure consultant, system engineer, or technical generalist.
You have in-depth knowledge of network environments. LAN, WAN, routing, switching, VLANs, VPN, WLAN, network segmentation and core infrastructures are part of your professional foundation.
You have experience with firewall and security solutions. For example, with Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, Sophos, WatchGuard, or similar manufacturers.
You understand enterprise and data center infrastructures. Redundancy, availability, site networking, core switching, operational reliability, and smooth handovers are not foreign concepts to you.
You can design and explain technical solutions. You are able to present complex information in an understandable way – for customers, sales, project management and technical teams.
You have a good sense of effort and feasibility. You can assess technical requirements, evaluate risks, and derive realistic implementation costs.
You work independently and are solution-oriented. You don't need a guideline for every step; you can structure and advance topics on your own.
You are prepared to travel. Client meetings, workshops, and on-site project assignments are part of this role.
Certifications are welcome, but not essential. Helpful certifications include, for example, CCNA/CCNP, LANCOM Expert, Fortinet NSE/FCP/FCSS, Aruba/HPE, Sophos, Palo Alto, or ITIL. However, what matters most to us is solid practical experience.
