Housing services include tenancy management and maintenance.

DESCRIPTION:

About the Role
Argyle Housing has commenced a significant IT transformation program, including modernisation of our business technology platforms, as well as new ERP and finance systems.
We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. We are looking for a strong all-rounder with a proactive, positive attitude. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise across the full technology stack—from Level 1 support tasks through to Level 3 engineering and project work. You will play a key part in maintaining, evolving, and securing our hybrid infrastructure environment.
This position is located in Bowral, NSW.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end support across infrastructure environments, including escalated Level 2 and Level 3 incidents.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender).
  • Manage on-premises and virtualised server environments (Hyper-V and/or VMware).
  • Support and implement cloud-based solutions (primarily Azure; AWS knowledge beneficial).
  • Design, implement and support network infrastructure (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Assist with physical and logical network design, architecture documentation, and capacity planning.
  • Contribute to cyber security posture through patching, system hardening, monitoring, and incident response support.
  • Participate in infrastructure upgrade, cloud design and migration, and transformation projects.
  • Provide Level 1–3 support depending on operational needs, with a willingness to “get hands dirty” at all levels.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3 – 5+ years in an IT infrastructure role, ideally across SMB or enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and deployment.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V or VMware).
  • Proficiency in Azure services (IaaS, Azure AD, identity and access management, backups, networking).
  • Solid understanding of network fundamentals—including architecture, physical and logical design, segmentation, and security principles.
  • General knowledge of cybersecurity practices (endpoint protection, firewall rules, least privilege, audit logging).
  • Strong experience in both Android and Apple device management
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across varying technical levels.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications and Skills (Not Essential)

  • Microsoft certifications
  • Networking certifications
  • Security certifications
  • Understanding of CCTV and access control systems; experience managing these in a business setting will be viewed favourably
