Job Description What you will need to do: Strategic Planning & Leadership Develop and execute short- and long-term infrastructure strategies that align with business growth, digital transformation, and sustainability goals. Lead the modernization of infrastructure towards a cloud-first, automated, and secure operating model. Collaborate with executive leadership to shape IT roadmaps and ensure alignment with organizational priorities. Prepare and manage annual infrastructure budgets, forecasts, and cost optimization initiative Infrastructure Design & Operations Oversee the design, deployment, and management of on-premises and cloud-based environments (Microsoft 365) including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, and collaboration platforms. Ensure high availability, resilience, and performance of core systems (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, load balancers, etc.). Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics across all infrastructure services. Define and enforce standards for hardware, software, configuration, and architecture documentation. Drive infrastructure automation and orchestration initiatives using modern tools (e.g., IaC, scripting, monitoring platforms). Security, Compliance & Continuity Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain robust infrastructure security, backup, and disaster recovery measures. Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements for data privacy, system security, and service continuity. Proactively identify vulnerabilities and oversee remediation plans. Vendor & Stakeholder Management Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors, managed service providers (MSPs), and cloud partners. Lead RFPs, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations for infrastructure-related projects and services. Serve as the primary point of contact for infrastructure matters, ensuring transparent communication with executives, business units, and stakeholders. Team Leadership & Development Manage and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, network specialists, and system administrators. Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Develop training and succession plans to ensure high technical competency and operational excellence. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Stay abreast of emerging infrastructure technologies, cloud advancements, and automation trends. Conduct feasibility studies and business cases for new solutions, upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives. Champion sustainability, efficiency, and scalability in all infrastructure decisions. What you will need to have: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; master’s degree is preferred. Minimum 8–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role. Proven experience in Microsoft ecosystem environments, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and Intune. Strong background in managing hybrid infrastructures (on-premises and cloud). Hands-on experience with networking technologies (LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless, firewalls, routing, switching). Demonstrated experience in infrastructure project management, budgeting, and vendor management. Experience implementing and managing backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions. Strong knowledge of IT security principles, network segmentation, firewall management, and endpoint protection. Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management best practices. Experience in monitoring and performance optimization tools. Microsoft Certifications will be considered an asset.
