The Eurofins SAFER@WORK™ programme is designed to help companies set up advanced risk management protocols and contributes to limiting the impact of COVID-19 in the workplace. Eurofins SAFER@WORK™ program combines workplace surfaces and wastewater testing together with risk-based clinical testing, as well as relevant consultative, audit, and assurance services to assess and focus on areas where virus presence is likelier. This approach reduces cost and supports health authorities to allocate capacity constrained human COVID-19 testing where it is most needed. Job Description Key responsibilities Management and leadership Supervising a team of IT professionals, including system and network administrators. Setting team objectives, conducting performance reviews, and fostering professional development. Managing IT budgets, handling hardware and software procurement, and overseeing vendor relationships and contracts. Communicating with internal stakeholders and presenting infrastructure plans to senior management. Strategic planning Developing and executing the IT infrastructure roadmap to align with business growth and long-term goals. Evaluating and implementing new technologies to improve efficiency and capability. Creating, testing, and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Operations and maintenance Overseeing the daily operations of all IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage, and data centers. Ensuring high availability and reliability of all systems through proactive monitoring and maintenance. Leading IT projects, such as system upgrades, cloud migrations, and new implementations. Managing and implementing automated patch management and software updates. Ensuring that IT processes adhere to industry best practices, such as ITIL. Security and compliance Developing and enforcing security standards to protect IT systems and data from cyber threats. Implementing and managing security measures such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems. Overseeing internal and external IT system audits to ensure compliance with regulations. Conducting risk management and developing countermeasures for potential security incidents. Qualifications and skills Qualifications Education: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required. Experience: Most positions require 8 to 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least a few years in a leadership role. Certifications: Relevant certifications are highly desirable and can include: ITIL PMP (Project Management Professional) AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud certifications Cisco certifications Skills Technical expertise: In-depth knowledge of network administration, server management (Windows and Linux), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms. Leadership and management: Proven ability to manage teams, delegate tasks, and mentor IT staff effectively. Strategic thinking: The ability to align IT strategy with business objectives and growth. Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve complex technical incidents. Budgeting: Experience with managing budgets and optimizing costs for IT services. Additional Information Must be able to work in CET hours (MY time 2pm–11pm)
