BOKU's internal IT service provider, we develop and operate innovative IT solutions that support our university in its mission. We rely on modern technologies, agile methods, and a proactive approach to designing services and processes.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an IT Infrastructure Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for the operational tasks of running and supporting BOKU's central IT infrastructure, which is distributed across several data centers in Vienna. Managing a four-figure number of servers, containers, and appliances, and a network spanning all of Vienna and its branch offices, requires support in prioritizing and implementing projects and handling day-to-day operations.

Tasks

  • Rapid assumption of operational tasks, in particular support in prioritizing and implementing projects and day-to-day business
  • You will be responsible for communication and collaboration with various stakeholders both within and outside the university.

Profile

  • Completed technical training (university of applied sciences, university) or comparable specific qualification
  • Professional experience
  • Good knowledge and experience in technical and organizational areas of the
  • IT infrastructure (network, security, system management) as well as project management (e.g. PMI,…)
  • Ability to plan, coordinate and monitor complex projects
  • Process-oriented thinking as well as independent, structured and meticulous work methods.
  • High willingness to learn and commit, flexibility and personal responsibility
  • You have very good German (C1) and good English (B1) skills.
