Job Description Join us as IT Integration Engineer and help build, automate, and secure the data pipelines that power Nuage—Sika’s global custom-built R&D data platform! In this role you will be part of a fast-growing Global R&D Digitalization team, transforming how our global R&D function develops and working on wide range of topics - from using traditional data science techniques to optimising operational efficiency along with state-of-the-art AI solutions to identify novel construction materials. This role is designed for remote working with occassional trips to Welwyn Garden City. Your main tasks will be: Automate and streamline secure data transfer between cloud and on-prem systems Enhance laboratory testing programs to import/export data in a computer literate format Design and implement Python-based data ingestion pipelines to support scalable and efficient data processing Develop and maintain Python SDKs to enable seamless connectivity between databases and Databricks environments Qualifications Higher education or proven track record of relevant working experience 2+ years of working experience with production software in the role of Software Engineer, Software Architect, Data Engineer, Data Scientist or similar Excellent knowledge of Python Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs Experience with a Data Intelligence platform such as Databricks Experience with ITIL and agile project management Experience with Microsoft Azure Effective verbal and written communication skills Excellent capacity to prioritise work Preferred Jira/Confluence experience Experience with integrating laboratory testing equipment with LIMS Additional Information Benefits: Competitive salary Holiday 25 days rising to 28 days with service, plus bank holidays A company pension contribution of up to 10% Private healthcare for you, with option to add family Group life cover at 6x your annual salary Group Income Protection (PHI) We offer competitive salaries, aligned with local market benchmarks and the specific scope and responsibilities of each role.
