We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Integration Specialist with 10+ years of experience in enterprise batch scheduling, job automation, and secure data integration. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with Automic Workload Automation (UC4/AWA), Control-M, and secure file transfer platforms such as IBM Sterling Integrator (SFX). This role demands technical proficiency in automation scripting, orchestration of high-volume workflows, and coordination across complex IT landscapes.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in software development roles with min. 6 years hands-on experience in batch job automation and scheduling, specifically:
  • Automic Workload Automation (UC4/AWA) – v12.x
  • Control-M Job Scheduler
  • Strong knowledge of user/role management, secure executions, agent/engine configurations, and clustering in UC4/AWA.
  • Expert level skills and experience with Control-M job orchestration, SLA tracking, alert configuration, and system integrations.
  • Skilled in setting up and managing secure endpoints, routing channels, and encryption keys (PGP/GPG/SLIFT).
  • Strong experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SFX) for secure file exchange and partner management.
  • Proficient in UC4 scripting, including conditional logic, looping, and parameterized executions.
  • Experience designing workflows with job dependencies, event-driven schedules, and business calendars.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting and PL/SQL for automation and backend logic.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle, MS SQL Server, and SQL performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools: Jenkins, GitHub/Bitbucket, Artifactory, Rocket Aldon, TFS for deployments and version control
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, release governance, and change management processes.
  • Understanding of enterprise ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, VMware Service Manager, and HP ALM.
  • Strong background in Unix/Linux OS internals, filesystem permissions, crontab, and process monitoring.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows Server environments, services, and scheduled tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to document technical processes clearly and consistently (SOPs, test cases, design specs).
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain complex batch job workflows using Automic UC4/AWA (v12.x).
  • Implement high availability architecture, disaster recovery procedures, and failover strategies for AWA/UC4 environments.
  • Define and manage job properties and integrations for SAP, FTP, Web Services, and API-based communication.
  • Build and orchestrate end-to-end workflow schedules, manage calendars, dependencies, and triggers.
  • Configure secure file transfers: setup of SFTP/SSH profiles, routing templates, trading partner onboarding, and encryption using PGP/GPG.
  • Develop and deploy Business Processes (BPs) and support SFX migrations from UAT to PROD.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues related to IP whitelisting, certificates, and key management with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Set up and maintain job scheduling and monitoring using Control-M, UC4, and shell scripts.
  • Develop automation routines using Unix Shell (Bash/KSH), UC4 scripting, and PL/SQL.
  • Establish and maintain alerting, escalation rules, and job failure handling mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with application teams during cutovers, FDRs, and go-live activities.
  • Utilize Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, and Artifactory for CI/CD integration and code management.
  • Manage deployments, versioning, and rollback plans using Rocket Aldon and TFS.
  • Optimize backend data processes with PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and SQL tuning.
  • Support BI/Analytics operations by transforming and validating large datasets.
  • Partner with DBAs for performance tuning, query optimization, and execution plan improvements.
  • Produce comprehensive documentation: technical design specs, test plans, user manuals, and deployment guides.
  • Participate in SIT, UAT, and performance testing cycles, and conduct RCA/post-mortems for service interruptions or failed jobs.
