Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy IT Intern to join our dynamic Managed Service Provider (MSP) team. This internship offers hands-on experience in IT support, networking, and systems management in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. You will work alongside experienced technicians and engineers, gaining exposure to a wide range of technologies and client environments. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues for clients under supervision. * Provide first-level support by resolving basic technical problems and escalating complex issues to senior staff. * Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, backups, and system monitoring. * Assist with onboarding and configuring new devices such as desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. * Learn and use ticketing systems to log and track support requests. * Support the setup and management of user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and other tools. * Collaborate with the team to ensure IT services meet client expectations and service level agreements (SLAs). * Participate in documenting processes, solutions, and technical guides for internal use. * Shadow senior technicians on client site visits and remote support sessions. * Stay current on emerging IT trends and technologies relevant to the MSP industry. Qualifications: * Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. * Basic knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common IT tools. * Familiarity with networking concepts such as IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs is a plus. * Strong interest in IT support, networking, or systems administration. * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. * Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a professional setting. Preferred Skills: * Experience with basic hardware setup and troubleshooting (e.g., desktops, printers, routers). * Familiarity with ticketing systems or IT service management tools. * Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ (not required but a bonus).
