SUMMARY:
The iSeries Development Manager will own the Software Development Life Cycle for the S2K ERP, S2K Mobile, and iSeries host system environment in North America. This individual will leverage excellent written and verbal communication to build cross-functional relationships and ensure that their priorities are aligned with our internal and external partners. They will also be responsible for managing a team, Azure DevOps toolset, system maintenance, and business relationships both within IT and the user community.
The iSeries Development Manager will have good working knowledge of ERP environments and software development and be able to independently own and support Arrowhead’s ERP environment. They will have expert level knowledge of technical tools used to support the ERP area, ideally with direct experience with IBM iSeries and Vormittag Associates, Inc. S2K ERP and S2K Mobile.
Job responsibilities include managing a team of technical individual contributors, engaging in employee development, managing projects for direct reports, and ensuring team priorities and focus are aligned with the company’s overall strategic goals. They will also manage outside relationships with both software and hardware vendors and manage projects and engagement for those vendors. The ability to provide consistent updates to senior leadership on issues, projects, tasks and challenges is a must. Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills are also required. This person will provide daily support to internal and external customers, gathering functional requirements, writing requirements, testing changes, both leading as well as executing when necessary. Experience with the IBM iSeries platform and experience with RPGLE and CL programming is a plus. Ability to leverage technical expertise and experience to review existing configurations, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver solutions from inception through implementation.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business, or other related field or equivalent work experience. Typically requires 5 years of relevant technical or business work experience and 3-5 years of leadership experience including direct leadership of people, process, and projects. Requires experience/in-depth knowledge of business operations and systems requirements processes.
